FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing technology of medium-density and lightweight ceramic proppants with the bulk density of 1.4-1.55 g/cm3 from the charge based on a mixture of heat-treated natural magnesium-silicate raw material and quartz-feldspathic sand. Magnesium-silicate proppant represents ceramic granules based on magnesium metasilicate, manufactured by preliminary heat treatment and grinding of charge primary components, moulding of the granules, their roasting, cooling and screening, where cooling is permormed at the speed of 250°C/h and more, and the specified metasilicate is represented by protoenstatite and clinoenstatite at the following ratio thereof, vol. %: protoenstatite 55-95, clinoenstatite 5-45.
EFFECT: increased resistance to cyclic pressure loads while maintaining the required strength specifications.
