Method comprises detecting, by a processing device of a client computing device, that NFC device of client computing device is in physical proximity of a NFC target device, in response to detecting, initiating, by processing device, execution of a transportation application, having an associated graphical user interface, displayed by client computing device, receiving data from NFC target device, generating an order request for a transportation vehicle based on transportation application and received data, transmitting order request to a transportation server, receiving a response from a transportation server, indicating confirmation order request and causing client computing device to display using graphic user interface a graphic representation of relationship between a pick-up location and a location of transportation vehicle.
EFFECT: technical result is enabling automated ordering of a transportation vehicle using a communication device.
