FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: cows are intracisternally given Orbenin DC once prior to drying off. On the second day after calving, cows intramuscularly receive additional Timogen 0.01% solution, dosed as 3 mg/kg once a day for 5 days.
EFFECT: application of the claimed method eliminates the development of clinical mastitis, reduces the risk of subclinical mastitis, which increases biosafety of milk preparation technology, ensures preservation of dairy productivity; reduces the number of somatic cells in milk, improving the milk quality, reduces treatment costs of mammary gland pathology.
