FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: computer-implemented method is proposed to determine the baseline on the airfoil surface grid for modeling, wherein the surface grid comprises nodes interconnected by the edges. The method comprises a stage, in which the basic coordinate system determination is made, comprising the direction X against the airfoil. Also, according to the method, the determination of the profile length variable is performed, that varies monotonically along the airfoil on the straight movement direction, which does not coincide with the direction X. Further the first frontal node is selected on the airfoil baseline . Pareto front algorithm is used to determine the baseline on the tip surface grid against the airfoil direction X.
EFFECT: automated determination of the airfoil baseline.
