FIELD: experimental aerodynamics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the study of problems of aeroelasticity of aircraft in the field of aviation technology, and in particular to the development of models for wind tunnels. A quasi-rigid aerodynamic model of a bearing surface of high elongation is proposed, which is a design of a bearing surface of a variable profile with an internal cavity. The internal cavity of the model is made in the form of a cutout located on the side of the leading edge along the entire length of the model, excluding the end part in the area of 0.95-1.0 span, oriented parallel to the midline of the profile in the sections of the model along its span and closed by a windshield forming aerodynamic contours of the profile in the area of the leading edge of the model. The cutout is designed and made in such a way that the stiffness centres of the model sections are located in the range from 65 to 80% of the local chord in the direction to the trailing edge.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of experimental studies of the aerodynamic characteristics of the bearing surface, in particular, improving the accuracy of taking into account the influence of the Reynolds number.
