FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: welding machine for edge joint of overlapped material rolls comprises a chassis where at least guide rollers, a heating device and at least one pressure roller are positioned. The heating device has a contact heating element positioned sideways, which can be inserted between the edges of the material rolls. The chassis is driven by an electric mechanism, which is presented by a brushless direct current motor, preferably of disk rotor type, while planetary gear is used as areduction gear. The electric mechanism and the reduction gear are combined into the drum drive mechanism. The chassis has a side stem made adjustable perpendicularly to the working direction relative to the longitudinal stem.
EFFECT: improved technical and operational characteristics of the device.
