SUBSTANCE: each object with an electronic lock is assigned a tracking number. In this case, a sequence of non-repeating ordinal numbers is preliminary formed, from which the a converted number sequence is obtained by cryptographical transformation, the sequence is recorded and stored in the first memory fields of the storage device of the formation and registration tool and control tool. Before locking the electronic lock, the second memory field of storage devices is introduced with an object tracking number, which is recorded together with the address corresponding to one of the converted numbers, which are used to form an electronic lock locking code by cryptographical transformation in the control tool, and then the locking code is recorded in an electronic lock storage device with its subsequent locking after the lock code re-entering. To unlock the electronic lock, the object tracking number is entered in the storage devices of formation and registration tool and control tool to finds its value in the second memory areas of the storage devices, which correspond to the converted numbers, then they are read and compared in the control tool, in case of positive comparison result, cryptographical transformation is performed of the converted number incoming from formation and registration tool to generate the unlocking code, which is supplied to the electronic lock, and in case of positive result if its comparison with the stored locking code, a command is formed to unlock the electronic lock. After the locking and unlocking operations, the used converted number is removed from the treatment of the storage device of the formation and registration tool and control tool. Also, a device for implementing the above described method is proposed.
