FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: proposed luminescent material comprises a matrix of interconnected coated fluorescent nanoparticles. For example, the luminescent material based on luminescent CdSe- containing nanoparticles with CdS coating, comprising a matrix with ZnS coating, has the quantum efficiency of at least 80% at 25°C, and quenching of the quantum efficiency at 100°C, not exceeding 20% as compared with the quantum efficiency at 25°C.
EFFECT: invention relates to a luminescent material on the basis of luminescent nanoparticles and to a lighting device based on them for converting light from the light source.
