FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: parts are pressed in the joint line to each other and the rotating welding tool is injected in the area of the part joint. A sonotrode with ultrasonic generator is rigidly fixed at one of the welded parts. When moving the tool along the joint line, ultrasonic treatment on the welded part material is simultaneously performed by applying ultrasonic vibrations to the material of the joint parts during the whole process of friction welding with stirring.
EFFECT: method ensures a uniform strength of the formed welded joint of parts from dispersion-strengthened aluminium alloys and reduction of residual internal stresses in the bulk of the welded joint.
