FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed bilge keel is installed on the hull bilge rounding on both sides and consists of a keel wall sheet with bulb sections, bottom keel wall and the bilge keel free edge lining ixed by welding on the section at a constant height of the bilge keel. In this case, the free edge lining is made as a longitudinal semicylindrical unclosed surface with a semicircle of radius R, constituting 0.2-0.5 of the bilge keel height to the proposed lining installation, or in the form of longitudinal cylindrical unclosed surface with a size less than a half circle of radius R, constituting 0.2-0.5 of the bilge keel heightto the proposed lining installation. The lining is welded by its convex side symmetrically to the bulb section, which is welded to the keel wall sheet. When viewed from the end of the bilge keel, the lining in its bow and stern ends is cut by a smooth curve, and its edges are sharpened.
EFFECT: increased roll decrease efficiency.
