FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: motor-operated valve for use in gas flowmeters comprises a valve unit with a valve body and a valve element, a drive unit and a connection unit. These units can be connected to each other in a modular way and separated from one another. The valve member is a spherical or cylindrical valve element sealed against the valve body with only one sealing element which shall preferably be a lip seal. The valve body has two recesses where the valve element is mounted for rotation.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability of the valve assembly, reduction of the friction of its parts.
