SUBSTANCE: mechanical connection unit(40) for aircraft (1) has a first element (8), a second element (20) mounted so as to progressively move along and rotate around its own axis (A), and connecting means (39 ) for connecting first and second elements (8, 20) to prevent rotation of second element (20) about the axis (A) relative to first element (8). Connecting means (39) has a retaining shoulder (41) which protrudes from one (20) of first and second elements (8, 20) and extends to a distance other than zero from the axis (A). Bracket (42) preventing rotation protrudes from another (8) of first and second element (8, 20) extends over a distance other than zero from the axis (A), and defines a through opening (43) concatenated in sliding manner with retaining shoulder (41).

EFFECT: increased reliability, reduced weight of aircraft screw assembly.
