FIELD: repair work.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used, for example, to restore damaged threads of connecting assemblies of a transmission casing of an aircraft with a vertical take-off and landing path. The tool contains the first bracket in form of a plate with a protrusion and has a threaded through hole, at least two second brackets pivotally connected to the first bracket and having support surfaces for holding with the corresponding connecting elements, a centring pin. At the same time, it is equipped with two bushings with corresponding threads. A method for restoring a damaged thread using the mentioned tool is also described.
EFFECT: reduction of time and production costs for restoration of a damaged thread due to the possibility of performing work without dismantling the transmission from the aircraft.
