FIELD: radar.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to determination of radar characteristics of objects – radar cross-section (RCS) in the mode of express-analysis under conditions of natural background situation by standard (commissioned), for example, ship radar devices and standard inflatable radar reflector in real sea conditions. Device comprises a radar station; a standard attenuator built in cascades of the intermediate frequency amplifier not subjected to effects of time gain control; a reference in the form of a standard inflatable radar reflector and a metal or metal-coated grid.

EFFECT: technical result is performing rapid measurement of RCS of objects and false targets in natural background, conducting training and exercises both in berthing and in the sea, as well as preparation and localizing a target situation when evaluating priority of targets selection by anti-ship missiles homing heads.
