FIELD: physics, measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement technology and can be used to measure flow rate of liquid in a pipe. The method of measuring liquid flow rate includes measuring differential pressure at a narrowed portion of a pipe and at a wide portion thereof, determining, based on the differential pressure, the flow rate of the liquid flowing through the pipe; unlike the prototype, pressure at the narrowed portion is increased to the pressure value at the wide portion of the pipe by heating gas in the chamber of a differential manometer, connected to the narrowed portion, wherein heating is carried out using an electric heater, and flow rate of the liquid is determined from the consumption of electric power used to heat the gas.
EFFECT: invention increases sensitivity and accuracy of measurements, which is a result of the most accurate compensation measurement technique, the possibility of continuously obtaining data on the current flow rate of liquid in real time.
