FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment. Flow device comprises slot-type narrowing device in form of flat channel of rectangular cross-section with ratio of sides of 1:5, not less, and degree of narrowing of 5, not less than, and an information collection and processing system comprising a differential pressure sensor on a control system with two sampling branch pipes, a system for measuring temperature of the flowing liquid with a temperature sensor and a computing device to determine fluid viscosity, dimensionless dependence of coefficient of resistance of said flow-through instrument on Reynolds number is used, which is obtained by calibrating the instrument on a hydraulic bench with calibrating fluid, having a known viscosity dependence on temperature.
EFFECT: creation of a fluid-flow universal device for continuous measurement of the "acting" value of kinematic (dynamic) viscosity of liquid transported via a pipeline, including a Newtonian, non-Newtonian or multicomponent mixture.
