FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: detector response of the device is formed by processing guaranteed identical output processes of the DAA electroacoustic transducers without affecting it by the average value of the detector spatial response to the interference with the possibility of moving the elements of the discrete antenna array in space by the external forces. For this purpose, the detector has a discrete antenna array (DAA) made in a certain manner, having N non-directional passive and M active-passive electroacoustic transducers (EAT) corresponding to the I information transmitting channels, a calculating unit for the relative coordinates of the DAA elements, a beam pattern control unit, a threshold device, a threshold deciding calculator, an indicator, a control unit for the active-passive DAA elements, as well as a beam pattern former with the signal time delay. The principal difference between the inventive device from the prototype is that the detector further includes an adaptive compensation unit of the non-identity transmitting channels of the DAA electroacoustic transducer output processes, which allows to get identical parameters for all output processes of the DAA electroacoustic transducers, which is a prerequisite to increase the probability of primary detecting the signals and to reduce the probability of missing "weak" signals.
EFFECT: creating a new device for detecting signals and determining the direction of their source with the number of nonlinear operations in the signal processing equal to 2.
