SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to a wiper brush with a device holding the rubber band 12 and a method for assembling the wiper brush. The brush has a wind stopper 16, rubber band 18 and the element holding rubber band of the brush 14 with longitudinal guide channel 24 for the bearing element 20. The element retaining rubber band of the brush 14 in the assembled state forms with the wind stopper 16 body closure. Thus the wind stopper 16 has at least one end element 62, 64 which in the assembled state forms a body closure with an element holding the brush rubber band 14 and prevents the wind stopper 16 movement relative to the element holding brush rubber strip 14 in the longitudinal direction 22.

EFFECT: invention provides a cleaner brush strength due to its assembly and mounting method.
