SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of processing audio data and communication engineering. The method includes: obtaining a noise frame of an audio signal and decomposing the current noise frame into a low-frequency band noise signal and a high-frequency band noise signal; and encoding and transmitting the low-frequency band noise signal using a first discontinuous transmission mechanism and encoding and transmitting the high-frequency band noise signal using a second discontinuous transmission mechanism. According to the present invention, various processing methods are employed for the high-frequency band signal and the low-frequency band signal, the computational load and encoded bits can be saved by allowing non-decrease of subjective codec quality, and bits which are saved can help achieve the goal of reducing transmission bandwidth or improving overall coding quality.
EFFECT: invention is characterised by high coding efficiency.
