FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method of the body density determining, first the density of the body solid component is determined by entering it into the cell and determining the weight of this cell in the body non-wetting liquid at normal and reduced pressure. After determining the density of the body solid component the volume of gas in the body is determined, to which end the body is placed in a liquid capable of wetting the body, the pressure is created in it to the weighted body state and the change of gas volume relative magnitude is determined, and then the volume of gas in the body is calculated by the formula: Vr=mΔVk/ρ2-P, where m is a mass of the test body, ΔVk is gas compression coefficient with increasing pressure from the normal level to a value at which the body is suspended, equal to VkRn/VkRa, where VkPh is the volume of air in the capillary-manometer at normal pressure, VkRa is the volume of air in the capillary-manometer at high pressure, ρ2 is the density of the body wetting fluid, P is the density of the solid body component. At the same time an insect can be used as the object of study.
EFFECT: ability to measure volume of the gas situated in the body during density determination of it.
