FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: tire tread comprises a number of relief elements (1) with side surfaces (13, 14, 15, 16) and a contact surface (2) designed to contact with the road during tire rolling provided with the mentioned tread, where the contact boundary of the land contact surface (2) forms at least one rib (23, 24, 25, 26). The tread comprises a number of cutouts (3, 4) in the form of grooves and/or incisions, where the mentioned cutouts (3, 4) are bounded with the opposed side surfaces. Each relief element (1) is made using at least one first rubber mixture. The tire tread has, in a sectional view in plane including the tread thickness, at least one surface, defining at least one cutout, covered at least partially with a layer of coating material. The coating material is a thermoplastic polymer composition with Young's modulus over than 100 MPa, wherein the thermoplastic polymer composition comprises at least one thermoplastic polymer with a positive glass transition temperature, poly(p-phenylene)ether ("PPE") and unsaturated functionalized styrenic thermoplastic elastomer ("TPS") with a negative glass transition temperature. TPS elastomer comprises functional groups selected from epoxy, carboxyl, anhydride groups or groups of acid compound ether.
EFFECT: improved tire adhesive properties, in particular adherence to a snow-covered road.
