SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to rubber industry and can be used in making tyre treads. Molding element (1) comprises molding surface (3) intended to mold part of tyre tread surface, a blade intended to mold a sipe or a groove in tread and two cutting means(7), positioned on either side of blade at a certain distance from said blade. Blade comprises a rounded end, extending along length of blade in direction of extension X. Cutting means has edge (8), extending in direction of extension. Edge forms an acute angle in plane of cross section, perpendicular to direction of extension X, wherein height of Hlc of said edge is greater than or equal to height Hc of blade. Invention also relates to a mold, comprising multiple molding elements (1).
EFFECT: higher accuracy of molding due to limitation of blade movement relative to cutout part of covering layer (9).
