FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: assembly blank, consisting of a core blank and blank envelope with the bottom part is hot-pressed into the matrix. The diametric dimensions of the envelope blank and the the core blank are determined under the condition of equality of layers extraction during pressing. In this case, a trial pressing of the assembly blank is performed. Then, from the middle part of the pressed bimetallic product, a sample is cut out, on which a cross section is prepared. The actual turnkey core size is determined, after which the corrected diameter of the initial blanket is determined according to the above formula.
EFFECT: obtaining bimetallic articles with the required geometric layers dimensions with a minimum number of iterations.
