FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: leaching is carried out with a solution of sulfuric acid in at least two successive stages while maintaining a pH of 2.0-3.0 at each step. The leachate filtrate is purified from impurities by precipitation of a solid precipitate, which is combined with the solid precipitate of the previous steps and directed to obtain a complex ligation. The precipitation of manganese is carried out by treating the solution at pH of 0-8.5 with an aqueous ammonia solution in the presence of ammonium carbonate. The resulting precipitate of manganese carbonate is dried and fired to obtain a manganese oxide. After precipitation of the manganese, the solution is adjusted to a pH of 10.5-11.0 and magnesium is precipitated as a hydroxide.
EFFECT: reduced costs for the reagents.
