FIELD: hydrometallurgy of manganese and uranium. SUBSTANCE: manganese ore is stored on prepared foundation, sprayed with solutions containing sulfuric acid and ferrous iron sulfate, and manganese ore efficient leaching solutions are divided into two flows. First flow which constitutes 2/3 of total volume of efficient solutions is diluted with water is made stronger with sulfuric acid, is brought into contact with metallic iron (e.g. metal chip and is recycled for spraying ore with manganese ore. Second flow which constitutes 1/3 of total volume of efficient solutions is treated with alkaline solution to adjust pH at 4.5-7.0 and filtered. After filtration is over, solution is used for depositing manganese-containing product containing ferric iron hydroxide, washed with water, dissolved with sulfuric acid is used for leaching uranium ores. Method makes it possible to cut down consumption of reagents and reduce content of radionuclides in product. EFFECT: more efficient method of using manganese ores. 1 ex, 4 tbl
