FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrometallurgical processing of manganese-bearing stock to get manganese concentrate with high content of manganese with low content of sulphur and phosphorus. Proposed process comprises introduction of lime-bearing reagent for deposition of manganese concentrate, filtration and flushing of manganese concentrate with water. Note here that before introduction of lime-bearing reagent, magnesium carbonate and/or magnesium carbonate-bearing substance is added to said solution in amount of 1.5-3.0 g of MgCO3 per 1 g of Mn. Then, pulp pH is brought by lime-bearing reagent to 8-8.5, pulp is heated to 90-98°C and held thereat at mixing for 1-3 hours.
EFFECT: higher quality of product, simplified process, lower costs, improved technology.
