FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, namely to reconstruction of blast furnaces. The method of reconstruction of a blast furnace, which has a housing and a system of columns, mounted on the operational foundation includes the following stages: the stage of construction of a new furnace, during which a new foundation is erected and the column system and a new furnace housing onsite, other than the operating foundation; the stage of segmenting of the operating foundation during which it is cut horizontally for separation into the top of the foundation, on which the housing and the system of columns of the old furnace are mounted, and the bottom of the foundation, also the stage of construction of a new furnace and the step of segmenting of the operating foundation is performed at the time when the old blast furnace is operated; blowing of the old blast furnace; the stage of shifting aside of the old furnace during which the foundation top is shifted aside together with the foundation housing and the system of columns of the old furnace; and the stage of thrusting a new furnace, during which a new foundation is thrust to the bottom of the operating foundation completely together with the column and the housing of the new furnace.

EFFECT: shortening the time of reconstruction of a blast furnace is provided.
