FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: process is carried out in a single column with a complex side rectifying section, wherein the main column efficiency of 70 theoretical plates, the efficiency of the side section 11 theoretical plates, at a ratio of a narrow fraction of benzene, dimethylformamide (DMF) equal to 1:(2.2-2.6) with supply to DMF (7-9)th and narrow plate benzene fraction to the center portion of the main column, withdrawing a vapour stream to side section with (64-65)th main column plates and a liquid flow from the return side section on the same main column plates, with selection in distillate of main column benzene, in cube - dimethylformamide, which after cooling is recycled to reflux at (7-9)th plate of the main column, and distillate side section - thiophene fraction.

EFFECT: increasing of the degree of benzene extraction from the narrow benzene fraction and separation of the thiophene fraction at low reflux values at the same specific consumption of dimethylformamide as in the prototype scheme.
