SUBSTANCE: before the operation air conduction in the tonal threshold audiometry is determined at a sound frequency of 0.5 kHz, bone conduction in the tonal threshold audiometry is determined at a sound frequency of 2 kHz, average bone conduction in the tonal threshold audiometry is determined at sound frequencies of 0.5, 1, 2 and 4 kHz, speech threshold audiometry parameters, a pause recognition test at pure tone, a pause recognition test at wideband noise are determined. Gender, age, disease duration, otosclerosis form: conductive or mixed, presence of auditory stimulation within three months after the operation, damage localization are taken into account. Then the value of the discriminant index is calculated by mathematical formula. The derived value provides a basis to predict a good late result of stapedoplasty.
EFFECT: method enables to improve the quality of patients treatment by carrying out threshold audiometry and accounting otosclerosis forms.
