FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: method for determining the flow regime of water-gas mixture involves measuring the electromotive force at N points of the mixture by means of N sensors. The measurement is carried out at a frequency of at least 500 Hz, and the values of the electrical conductivity of the water-gas mixture at the sensor installation site are determined from the current value and the measured electromotive force, which is then digitally transmitted to plot the dependences of conductivity from the measurement time for each sensor. The obtained graphs are compared with the experimental graphs constructed under known flow regimes for different flows, and the results of the comparison determine the flow regime of water-gas mixture. The device for determining the flow regime of water and gas mixture contains a measuring head 1, inside of which there are N sensors all around the perimeter of the cross section, connected to the measurement results processing unit 5.

EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of identification of the flow regime of water-gas mixture.
