SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the computer technology field, in particular, to duplication of the data storage. Technical result is achieved by controlling the duplication, which includes placing the received copies of differencing disks relatively duplicated base virtual disk, wherein the received copies of differencing disks of the mentioned plurality of copy types are arranged in the chain, the first differencing disk from the received copies, arranged in the chain, comprising a coherent type with copy type applications, based on the application data, which were prepared for making a copy, and the second differencing disk from the received copies, arranged in the chain, has a corresponding to failure snapshot type, based on the application data, that have not been prepared to create a copy.
EFFECT: invention provides the accuracy and errors elimination, while storing the duplicated data.
