FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: locomotive gear transmission casing is made of composite material. The casing comprises the upper and the lower hollow split parts connected to each other. In the casing walls along the parting line, in the upper and lower parts, openings for the wheel pair axle and for the traction motor axle are made. The outer opening for the wheel pair axle is equipped with a labyrinth felt seal. The openings for the wheel pair bearing and for the traction motor axle are provided with rubber seals. The felt seal is made in the form of two circuits.
EFFECT: increasing the casing tightness at the exit points of the wheel pair axle outlet and the traction motor axle outlet.
