FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: charge contains 25-65 vol. % of tungsten carbide powder, 10-30 vol. % of Hadfield's 110G13 steel powder, 25-65 vol. % of zirconium and alumina powders at a 4:1 weight ratio. A method of producing a composite hybrid material comprises the preparation of a charge, forming a compact at a pressure of 100-200 MPa, induction heating of the compact to a sintering temperature of 1300-1350°C and sintering under pressure by sintering-forging with a pressure of 3-5 MPa every 15-20 seconds and a total pressure value of 25-35 MPa, then hold for 10-20 minutes.
EFFECT: composite material has high strength, hardness and fracture toughness.
