FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: production of calcium carbonate cement for bone defects filling involves application of the calcium carbonate crystalline phase powder - calcite and liquid - 30-60% aqueous solution of magnesium phosphate, with the following component ratio, wt % calcite powder - 40-60%; 30-60% aqueous solution of MgHPO4⋅3H2O and/or Mg(H2PO4)2⋅4H2O - 40-60%. In this case, the resulting material is characterized by compressive strength of at least 8 MPa, porosity of 40-60% with pore sizes up to 1000 microns, setting time of 6-12 minutes, bulk phase is calcite.
EFFECT: increased strength, reduced setting time.
