SUBSTANCE: when performing the method of cleaning drainage wells, a cleaning element is placed in the well. The element has an elliptical shape with the spiked surface. The largest diameter of the element in the cross section is not less than the diameter of the discharge pipeline. The length of the largest element axis provides the possibility of rotation relative to the well walls. The element buoyancy provides the possibility of immersion to the depth of not more than two-thirds of the largest diameter. The road pollution removal is carried out by the mechanical action of the spikes of the cleaning element, with forming slurry. The mechanical action is provided by turning the cleaning element due to the gravity of the flow falling into the well and the flow coming from the drainage pipeline.
EFFECT: possibility of autonomous self-cleaning of the well.
