FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: mandrel comprises a cylindrical shaft, arranged to be located along the axis of the main bearing bearings of the crankshaft of the cylinder block. The rod is made with screw parts on its surface, which have a triangular thread, and with cylindrical surfaces at its ends, arranged to be placed in the setting prisms of the machine with rotation when the cylinder block is based. Mentioned rod is provided with pairs of nuts mounted on its screw parts with a conical or stepped surface. The nuts in pairs are placed by mentioned surfaces facing each other with the possibility of abutment against the circular edges of the beds and covers of mentioned main bearings.
EFFECT: invention allows the use of a mandrel to install blocks of cylinders with different bed diameters for crankshaft bearings and ensure that the block bed axis is perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the spindle of the boring machine, which increases the accuracy of the machining.
