A metal-cutting machine for processing the hole in the hub of railway wheels contains a frame with guides for moving the boring head, while a portal is installed on the frame, rigidly connected through the frame to the foundation of the machine; a device for vertical installation of the wheel being processed with three hydraulic clamps located on it at 120°, at the end of the boring head spindle there is a boring faceplate with the possibility of rotation from the gearbox, a tool carriage with a boring bar and a cutting tool is located in the faceplate with the possibility of radial movement, while the radial movement of the carriage is carried out from a planetary gear motor and a ball screw, and the movement of the boring head along the bed guides is carried out from a planetary gear motor and a ball screw, a tank for collecting chips is installed on the foundation, above which a protective casing is installed, while the device is equipped with a stationary prism for installing the wheel, three base stops are installed on the outer end of the device, in this case, the stationary prism has two inclined surfaces.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy and productivity of wheel processing, reduction in the basing time and wheel processing cycle, reduction in the dimensions and weight of the machine, and its metal consumption.
