SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a communication system in which a base station is provided for communicating with a plurality of mobile communication devices in a cellular communication system. The base station controls one or more cells subframes and transmits communication with each of the plurality of communication devices within the cell (s), wherein each of the subframes contains a communications management resources for control channel transmission and communications resources to transmission data of the corresponding data channel. The base station transmits a control channel having a first DMRS sequence control in some subframes and the control channel having the second DMRS sequence of subframes in the other control. The second control channel may be transmitted in the antenna beam, spatially focused in the direction of the communication device. The first control channel may be transmitted omnidirectionally across the cell (s).

EFFECT: increased bandwidth downlink control channel.
