FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: according to the first version the slave cylinder is installed coaxially with the working cylinder on the common rod. The slave cylinder rod forms a suction chamber on one side and a precompression chamber on the other. The free end of the piston rod is equipped with a slide stop and connected to a crank-and-rod mechanism. The cylinder chambers are interconnected via air tubes, wherein check valves are installed in the direction of gases. The suction chamber is also connected to the atmosphere via an air tube wherein a check valve and a nozzle supplying oil to the air flow are installed in the direction of the gases. An orifice with a movable member is installed in the exhaust line. According to the second version of the engine the working and slave cylinders are parallel to each other and their cylinder rods interact through a rocker arm, the pivot axis of which is fixed in the body of the internal combustion engine to move between the longitudinal axes of the cylinders. As a result, at the fixed stroke of the working cylinder piston, the stroke of the slave cylinder piston can be changed, thus, changing the compression ratio in the precompression chamber.
EFFECT: lower oil consumption, better cylinder filling.
