FIELD: pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: powdered filler for dental materials is proposed. It comprises of particles of feldspar or derivatives thereof at their average diameter (d50) of from 0.5 to 5 microns, wherein the particles have a coating of silicon compounds containing reactive groups. The dental materials are composites wherein the feldspar is selected from the group consisting of sodic lime or alkali feldspars. Its use as a filler for dental materials is shown too. The method for producing the powdered filler includes feldspar grinding, particles silanization by a reactive silicon compound. Also a dental composite material is proposed and it comprises of 60-90% by weght of said powdered filler, and 10-40% by weight of polymerizable resin, wherein the polymerizable resin may react with reactive groups, and a dental material containing the above-mentioned composite material.
EFFECT: preparation of dental materials with a high flexing strength and degree of transparency, low linear shrinkage. The composites with a high filler content possess a good workability.
