FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is an apparatus and method for measuring absolute angular velocity based on a rotary vibration gyroscope consisting of a circular flywheel mounted on the drive shaft of the engine by means of an elastic torsion bar. The magnetic system of the rotor of the torque sensor is made on the flywheel and provides close to uniform induction in the gap into which four coils attached to the body of the device are inserted. The engine has a stator with a three-phase winding and a rotor in the form of a permanent magnet. The device does not have an angle sensor as a separate element, and its functions are performed by the signal windings of the moment sensor, in which, when the device is subjected to an absolute angular velocity, a voltage with a frequency equal to twice the rotor speed is induced. The decomposition of this signal into components proportional to the angular velocity vector projections is carried out using a special algorithm that processes the voltages induced in the signal windings of the torque sensor and the voltage obtained from the signal winding of the motor.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of absolute angular velocity measurement.
