SUBSTANCE: method of operation of the engine (10) is that the measured pressure in the vent tube (74) via the crankcase established therein sensor (77) pressure. Determined by the controller (12) if the air intake efficiency is reduced filter (54) based on the pressure measured in the vent tube (74) and the crankcase diagnosis code is set if the efficiency of the intake air filter (54) is reduced. Engine operation method version and engine system are disclosed.
EFFECT: reduction in device complexity without sacrificing the accuracy of detection of the deterioration of the air filter.
