FIELD: internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines. Engine control method includes indication of integrity disturbance of crankcase ventilation system (16). Indication is performed by integral value of actual pressure readings in crankcase ventilation tube (74) during period of unstable air flow through engine (10). Value of actual pressure readings in ventilating tube (74) is compared with integral value of assumed pressure readings in ventilating tube (74) for the same period of air flow through engine (10). Disclosed are methods (versions) of engine control.

EFFECT: technical result consists in fast and reliable diagnostics of breach of crankcase ventilation system at low air flow through engine.
