FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in the treatment of fractures of the upper wall of the maxillary sinus (MS). The MS is opened, the bone fragments of the upper sinus wall are rectified at the site of the fracture, free-lying bone fragments are removed, the interposition of soft tissues is eliminated. Then the soft tissues of the orbit and the eyeball are lifted and installed in anatomically correct position directly from the MS. After that, from the VCT an orbital fragment is formed in accordance with the shape and size of the upper wall of the MS, inserted and placed in the sinus, lifting it upward, fixing the damaged bone fragments in the correct position. Then, a massive alveolar fragment with a height of 4-5 mm, the bottom and side walls of which are congruent with the features of the configuration of the bottom wall and the side surfaces of the MS. The surface of the upper wall of the alveolar fragment is flat and smooth. The alveolar fragment is injected into the MS and placed on the bottom wall. Then, three cylinders of 3-4 mm with one smooth end and the other with an uneven surface, they are inserted and placed "in the spacer" between the orbital and alveolar fragments of the MS, the uneven surface upward, resting in the orbital fragment, after which the operation is terminated in the usual way.

EFFECT: method allows to prevent the displacement of MS fragments and to keep the correct position of the eyeball in the MS of cylindrical shape.
