SUBSTANCE: method involves the reaction of phthalimide with zinc acetate at a temperature of 230-240°C for 20-30 min, fusion of the resulting 3-[(1-oxo-1H-isoindol-3-yl)methylene]-2,3-dihydro-1H-isoindole-1-one with phenylacetic acid and a lanthanide salt at a temperature 320-330°C for 50-60 min, isolation and purification of the desired products by chromatography.
EFFECT: higher yields of target compounds with fewer chemical stages.
