FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: two-shaft vessel main power plant (MPP) contains two automated diesel-reducer units (DRU) with a control system that are located in two engine compartments and drive shaft lines with water jet propellers. Each DRU consists of two main engines (ME), one non-reversing totalizing gearbox and four compensating couplings. Moreover, two compensating couplings can be installed on the shaft line.
EFFECT: increased reliability and survivability of the main power plant.
