SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ship power plants, in particular to the main power plants of ships. Main ship power plant contains ship power plants of the left and right sides, each consisting of two engines and a summing gear reducer with a main output shaft, a power plant, a shaft line and a propeller with a propeller shaft. Power plants in ship power plants of the left and right sides are made of the same design and at the same time placed with a turn of one hundred and eighty degrees relative to each other with the possibility of attaching the propellers by means of shafting and propeller shafts to the main output shafts of summing gear gearboxes, made with the output of the main output shaft in them on two opposite sides.
EFFECT: optimization of the design of the main ship power plant is achieved.
