FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: precursor has the formula {Mg(OR')X}⋅a{MgX2}⋅b{Mg(OR')2}⋅c{R'OH}, where R' is selected from a hydrocarbon group, X is selected from a halide group and a:b:c is in the range 0.1-99.8:0.1-99.8:0.1-99.8. The method comprises contacting a magnesium source organogalogenidom and an alcohol in a solvent to form a magnesium precursor, wherein the organomagnesium precursor synthesized in one step.
EFFECT: invention allows to receive the organomagnesium precursor in a single step, which can be used for preparing a catalyst system for the polymerization of olefins.
