SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a turbocompressor comprising at least one rotor which extends along an axis (X), at least one gas seal, which by means of protective gas seals the gap between the rotor and the stator of a turbomachine, the preparatory module that of withdrawn into the pressure position in place of selection of the working fluid prepares shielding gas, wherein the protective gas is supplied to the gas seal. In the first turbomachine piping that directs the working fluid from the high-pressure position to the preparatory unit, a control valve is provided, the turbomachine comprising an adjusting unit that controls the regulating valve, the turbomachine in the second conduit for protective gas between the preparation unit and the gas seal has a sensor that determines protective gas pressure between the preparation unit and the gas seal, the adjusting unit is arranged so that the adjusting valve adjusts the pressure or the mass flow or volume flow measured by the sensor.
EFFECT: reduction of investment costs for the preparation of protective gas for the gas seal.
