SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing a thread with the diameter of 80…95 microns from ultrathin glass (quartz, aluminosilicate or aluminoborosilicate) fibers with radar absorbing polymer coating modified by highly reactive activated graphite, comprising forming a polymeric resistive material solution by dissolving the polymer binder in a solvent and mixing the resulting solution with a carbon filler, applying the resulting mixture in the form of a shell on the central fiber by means of passing through the solution and the spinneret, removing the solvent from the resistive shell by drying the thread in the hot air stream, applying the coating to the glass thread is obtained by means of impregnating in the solution of polyvinyl butyral resin 2.5…6.7 g/l and chemically activated graphite 25…60 g/l in acetone or isopropyl alcohol under influence of ultrasonic wave (standing wave) resonance at the outlet from the impregnating bath.

EFFECT: high resistance to friction and bending, high resilient properties of the thread.
